What we keep
RestoreThisPhoto stores the photograph you upload and the restoration drafts made from it so you can compare, retry, purchase, and download your results. If you choose to provide an email address, or if you buy a pack through card checkout, we may also keep the email address needed to send your private recovery link. We do not ask you to create an account, and the restoration service does not need your name, address, or a public profile.
Your photograph, restoration files, and job records are kept in private cloud storage. They are not placed in a public gallery, published on the website, or made available to other customers. A hard-to-guess job or batch link acts as your recovery handle, so treat that link as private and share it only with people you trust. Payment details are handled by our payment processor; RestoreThisPhoto does not receive or store your complete card number.
How processing works
Trusted cloud infrastructure and AI providers process your photograph solely to produce your restoration. We also use a payment provider for purchases and an email delivery provider when we send a recovery link. These processors receive only the information needed for their part of the service. We do not sell personal information, use your photographs for advertising, or share or publish them. Your uploaded photographs and generated restorations are not used to train AI models.
Automated service records may include ordinary technical details such as request time, an abbreviated job identifier, error status, and network information used to limit abuse. These records help us keep the preview bench reliable and prevent unauthorized downloads. We do not put secret keys, full payment details, or photograph contents into public analytics events.
Retention, deletion, and your rights
Uploads and restorations are deleted automatically about 30 days after upload. When you purchase a pack, its private downloads are made available for 30 days after purchase, and the related restoration records are refreshed for that window. An optional email address and recovery record follow the same limited service period. Backup and storage cleanup can take a short additional period to finish, so deletion is described as approximately 30 days rather than instantaneous at a particular minute.
You keep all rights you hold in the photographs you upload and in your resulting files. You can ask us to delete a photograph or associated email early, or ask a privacy question, by emailing support@restorethisphoto.com from an address that can receive our reply. Include the private job or batch link so we can locate the correct files; do not attach sensitive originals unless support specifically asks for a working copy. We will verify the request using the information available and remove the matching service records where legally and technically possible.
